Confidentiality
Board, executive, and search matters often involve sensitive information. Sterling’s approach is to make access, purpose, and professional boundaries clear.

We establish what information is sensitive, who may receive it, and how it should be used at the outset of an engagement.
Access to private records is limited by account role, organization relationship, and the purpose for which information was supplied.
Executive profiles are private by default. They are not presented as a public directory or made publicly searchable.
Sensitive records use authenticated access and private file storage. Sterling does not claim certifications that have not been obtained.
Potential conflicts should be identified, discussed, and addressed before confidential work proceeds.
We seek only information relevant to the work and avoid unnecessary sensitive personal information.
